If you've seen it—yes, it, don't say it too loud—then you know it was like a Reddit forum come to life. It was something that, just a few months ago, you probably thought was downright impossible. If you didn't, and called the home run that was Venom: Let There Be Carnage's mid-credits scene? Well, it sure as hell was still a blast to watch.

After months of speculation that Venom—despite his cinematic universe existing outside of the MCU—would somehow meet with Tom Holland's Spider-Man, it looks like that's exactly what we're getting. After a few minutes of credits roll on Venom: Let There Be Carnage, we catch up with Eddie Brock/Venom on vacation, hanging around in a hotel room. Venom tells Brock that he has "80 billion light years of hive knowledge across universes" that would explode his brain. So Brock tells Venom to show him. Suddenly, a very Doctor Strange-looking portal pops up and seemingly transports them to a different universe. Venom yells that whatever happened was not his doing. Suddenly, the hotel-room TV flips to a report from J.K. Simmons's J. Jonah Jameson, rambling on about the reveal of Peter Parker as Spider-Man. Venom approaches the TV, grumbles, "That guy!" and licks the image of Tom Holland's Spidey.

Well, damn. Tom Hardy dancing his way around No Way Home questions suddenly makes a lot more sense. Now, let there be speculation.
