Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Is Coming to Disney+, People

We don’t have to tell you Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is worth your time, but if you’d rather not sit in a theater, don’t worry—you can have the IMAX experience at home. On February 1, the long-awaited Marvel sequel will land on Disney+. Not only that, it'll come with an IMAX-enhanced feature—which will giving viewers an immersive viewing experience that turns your living room into an at-home cinema. (Or at least as close to one as you can get.) So grab some popcorn, prepare your seat on the couch, and get ready to return to Wakanda.
The sequel to 2018's Black Panther is an emotional one for everyone involved with the project—and the audience certainly showed up at the theater in droves to see the 30th Marvel Cinematic Universe film in November. In late summer 2020, Chadwick Boseman—who played T'Challa, the Black Panther, himself—died following a secret bout with colon cancer. Wakanda Forever preserves the actor's memory, dealing with the death of T'Challa in the MCU itself, seeing the likes of Letitia Wright's Shuri and Lupita Nyong'o's Nakia grieving the fallen king. From there, Wakanda Forever introduces us to a new threat to the country: Tenoch Huerta's Namor, the King of Atlantis. If we're being honest? Considering just how dang good Black Panther was, we would've tuned into Wakanda Forever no matter the plot, again and again.
So if you haven't seen Wakanda Forever and can't wait until February, the film will likely be in theaters for a couple more weeks. But if you'd rather enjoy Wakanda Forever at home, be sure to tune in on Disney+ next month.
