OPM rock icon Rico Blanco and Filipino pop-funk band IV of Spades are serving us a cool collab with the release of their new track, "Nagbabalik".

The track opens with Rico Blanco's familiar beats that hark back to the days of Yugto (his 2008 hit collab with OPM legends Cynthia Alexander and Louie Talan, among others).

For the first half of the track, Blanco rocks out the story of returning to someone after a breakup, begging to be accepted. Then, at the half mark of the track, the song abruptly changes.

Enter IV of Spades: the funk pop group opens with a slower beat of acoustic guitar and sings a drama of forgetting someone and finding love again.

The track transitions back to Blanco's rock beats, before ending at the 3:50 mark. The song laments how there seems to be no letting go no matter how hard you try.

Rico Blanco and IV of Spades will co-headline a concert on August 3 at the Metrotent Convention Center in Pasig City. It marks Blanco's first performance in recent years. Ticket prices are at P905, P1,590, and P2,385.
