Yes, Jack White Is Coming to Manila
You may know him from The Raconteurs or the more obscure The Dead Weather, but most people know Jack White for his years with the garage rock duo The White Stripes. Over two decades after establishing a name in the music scene, he’s finally coming to Manila.
White is flying to the region for the first time later this year, bringing his Supply Chain Issues Tour to Seoul, Ho Chi Minh, Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Manila.
A Grammy-winning singer and songwriter, White gained popularity after he formed the White Stripes in the late 1990s with his then wife Meg White. The duo gained commercial and critical success, releasing six studio albums and giving the world the modern classic “Seven Nation Army.”
White joined up with other musicians in other bands after the White Stripes broke up in 2011, finding modest success with The Raconteurs. He is also a sought-after producer, working with country artist Loretta Lynn on the critically acclaimed album Van Lear Rose and contributing production work for many other artists over the years.
In recent years White has pursued a solo career, writing and producing his own music under his own label Third Man Records.
His latest tour is in support of his previous solo records (Blunderbuss, Lazaretto, and Boarding House Reach) as well as his previous work with The White Stripes.
In a sea of international artists coming to the Philippines to perform for their fans, this is one show that you can’t afford to miss.
Jack White’s Supply Chain Issues Tour is happening on November 5, 2022 at the Samsung Hall, SM Aura Premier. Tickets are on sale on September 23 at 10 a.m. The show is produced by Wilbros Live.
