Lil Nas X Is the Most Streamed Rapper on Spotify After Surpassing DaBaby

It's official: Lil Nas X is now the most-streamed rapper on Spotify after he beat DaBaby. In all, Lil Nas X is the 12th artist to have the most streams in a list that includes Justin Bieber, The Weeknd, and Ariana Grande.
The rapper never disappoints on Twitter. So, he was quick to tweet about the achievement when it was pointed out to him. "Wow this is insane. This is the most I’ve ever had in my career. Thank u to everybody listening," he wrote.
The viral rapper continues to break records as he revolutionizes hip-hop and the industry as a whole as a black gay artist. This year alone, he released three singles: "Montero (Call Me by Your Name)," "Sun Goes Down," and "Industry Baby."
Out of the three, "Montero (Call Me by Your Name)" was the one that topped the charts and became platinum. The song and its music video were not without controversy, however.
The lyrics and visuals of the song were banned for being "immoral" as it explored queer themes and religious symbolisms. Then, a collab with MSCHF for Satan-themed Nike Air Max 97 caught the attention of Nike which resulted in a lawsuit.
