Lorde, A$AP Rocky, Katseye, Jennie and More at Governors Ball 2026

Last year marked the 15th anniversary of Governors Ball, New York's annual signature summer music festival. Gov Ball has come a long way since the very first one held at Governors Island back in 2011.

Originally just a one-day event, it has evolved into a three-day, multi-stage, multi-genre music experience featuring some of the best acts in the world that has since been staged at Randalls Island and Citi Field before finding its current home at the historic Flushing Meadows Corona Park, one of New York's most iconic green spaces.

The New York Times has called it "New York City's premier outdoor pop event," while it has been dubbed "NYC's best music festival" by New York Magazine.

Produced by Founders Entertainment, this year's installment of Gov Ball is set for June 5-7, and Esquire Philippines will be there to give you all the highlights from Queens, New York.

Some of the best artists who have graced the stage of Gov Ball in the past are Fiona Apple (2012), Kanye West (2013), Kendrick Lamar (2013), Erykah Badu and the Cannabinoids (2013), Jack White (2014), OutKast (2014), The Black Keys (2015), Childish Gambino (2017), Lorde (2017), Chance the Rapper (2017), N.E.R.D (2018), Khalid (2018), Tyler, the Creator (2019), The 1975 (2019), and Billie Eilish (2021).

Scheduled perfectly to celebrate New York Music Month and to kick off summer in the greatest city in the world, Gov Ball returns with a massive lineup for 2026. Over 60 artists across three stages perform over three days. Headlining for the first time after previously performing in Gov Ball 2017 is Lorde on Day 1, while K-Pop takes center stage the next day with global sensation Stray Kids. Harlem's very own A$AP Rocky makes a comeback as headliner for Sunday's roster. Fresh from their successful performances at Coachella, Katseye will take the stage on Day 1, something Pinoy fans are surely dying to watch, particularly because of the global girl group's Filipina member Sophia Laforteza. Also on the list is Jennie from Blackpink, set to perform on Day 3. Gov Ball 2026's lineup also features Major Lazer, Clipse, Dominic Fike, Baby Keem, Kali Uchis, Pierce the Veil, Blood Orange, Mariah The Scientist, Wet Leg, Amyl and the Sniffers, Freddie Gibbs & The Alchemist, The Dare, 2hollis, Ravyn Lenae, and a lot more.

Also on the Gov Ball 2026 lineup are NYC artists Geese, The Dare, Del Water Gap, Arcy Drive, and Lexa Gates, alongside up-and-coming local acts The Backfires and Chanpan. Gov Ball is also committed to showcasing the uniquely vibrant music community you can only find in New York, with performances from School of Rock-Queens, School of Rock-New York, and Kids Rock for Kids.

Attendees should also be on the lookout for what Queens has to offer on the food front, with local and gourmet offerings from the borough’s culinary scene, along with an improved beverage program curated for the summer weather. Fan experiences and activations will be taking place throughout the park and will be announced in the coming weeks. Gov Ball 2026 is easily accessible from the five boroughs. The Long Island Railroad (LIRR) and the 7 train are both under a 30-minute train ride to the park with direct access.
