On October 27, the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra (PPO) is putting on a Halloween special for children and adults with their Musical Instruments Petting Zoo at the CCP in hopes of inspiring young people to become future artists.

A family concert by the PPO will be held on the same date, titled Tricks and Musical Treats, after which, the performers will engage with the audience to help them learn their favorite musical instruments. The activity is called “A Voyage to the Fantasy Isle of Harmony,” an informal music class in which children and adults can learn while enjoying symphony music.

The Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra is the resident symphony orchestra of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP). Its current musical director and principal conductor is Yoshikazu Fukumura, while its associate conductor is Herminigildo Ranera. The PPO was founded in 1973 and has made a name for itself as one of the most prominent ensembles in the world.
