Apple Forgot the First Rule of Making a New Phone

Did they think that people wouldn't want to buy it?

With just two weeks to go until its grand launch, Apple has run into one very big problem with its iPhone X.

It hasn't made enough of them.

Pre-orders for the company's flagship 10th anniversary phone will begin this Friday, 27 October, with a new leak revealing that Apple has made just 2-3 million units of the iPhone X available for launch, due to supply chain troubles.

First reported by 9to5mac.com, Apple has supposedly struggled with the initial production of circuit boards, antenna, wide angle cameras, and the depth-sensing Infrared dot projector; components that are all new.

In most cases Apple sells more than ten million phones over a phone's first launch weekend, soavailability of just 2-3 million iPhone X's is unlikely to satisfy demand, even if it is going to cost you the best part of $999+.

But it's not all doom and gloom, as it's believed that the production of the circuit boards and other parts will increase throughout November, with the phone being far more readily available as we head into 2018.
