Instagram your way? Coming right up. Get ready: the app is launching Sensitive Content Control which lets you tailor how much sensitive content you want to see on your account. It's the next step in Instagram's updates lately, namely the ability to turn off comments and restricting someone from contacting you.

What makes sensitive content? While hate speech, bullying, or other harmful content are already screened, potential sensitive content to you includes posts that may be sexually suggestive or violent. Think of it as a way to avoid seeing certain posts on your feed.

In a release, Instagram said: "This new feature gives you control over sensitive content. You can decide to leave things as they are or you can adjust the Sensitive Content Control to see more or less of some types of sensitive content. We recognize that everybody has different preferences for what they want to see in Explore, and this control will give people more choice over what they see."

Interested? All you have to do is check your settings, head to account, and look for Sensitive Content Control. You can then choose from three options: allow, limit (default), or limit even more.

"We’ve started to move in this direction with tools like the ability to turn off comments or restrict someone from interacting with you on Instagram. Today we’re taking another step and launching what we call ‘Sensitive Content Control,’ which allows you to decide how much sensitive content shows up in Explore," said an Instagram spokesperson.
