Don’t you just get tired of all the techie platitudes that come out of the CEO’s mouth whenever there’s a launch of a new product? Meaningful innovations. Intelligent connections. Maximized efficiency. New possibilities. Creative solutions.
Year after year, it’s always about being bigger, faster, and better. What’s always missing is the groundbreaking feature that will render the smartphone you’re using to read this article obsolete.
Samsung launched the Galaxy Note20 and Galaxy Note20 Ultra on August 5. Here’s what we think about the new gadgets.

The S Pen

Steve Jobs once said that the finger is the most efficient input tool ever created, but Samsung proved him wrong with the S Pen.
The S Pen on the Galaxy Note20 series has more lifelike precision, giving you more accuracy and responsiveness.
The S Pen’s new Anywhere feature makes the touchless navigation of your device, like returning to the home screen or taking a screenshot, as simple as a flick of a wand.
In the past, you had to put up with the slow feedback when using the S Pen on a Samsung device. There was a delay of half a second when you scribble something on your screen. Now, the Galaxy Note 20 solves this problem by creating an AI that predicts where your stroke will go so that you get a more lifelike response when you write or draw using the S Pen. The Note 20’s S Pen feedback now has a latency of 9 ms, an impressive leap from the 29 ms in previous years. This gives you the feeling of drawing on real paper.
Performance and Display

The Galaxy Note20 is the most powerful Note series yet. It has the fastest processor of all Galaxy devices, allowing you to play games and open multiple apps at the same time without experiencing device lag.
For the first time in the Note series, Galaxy Note20 Ultra offers a vivid and bright Dynamic AMOLED 2.0 display and 120Hz refresh rate, which delivers buttery smooth visuals on Samsung's best screen yet. It also automatically adjusts to the content you are viewing to optimize battery life.
Samsung’s Galaxy 5G leadership delivers next-level power for what you love to do. This means you can stream seamlessly and experience very little buffering when you watch Netflix or YouTube.
The Galaxy Note20 series also provides stable Wi-Fi 6 networks with optimized latency for various streaming services. You can be confident your Galaxy Note20 series hardware and software are proactively secured end-to-end, thanks to Samsung Knox, Samsung’s mobile security platform.

The Galaxy Note20 series’ 8K camera, 21:9 aspect ratio, and 24fps recording give you an ultra-high resolution and professional-quality video experience.
The powerful Pro Video mode with pro-grade focus, audio, exposure, zoom speed control, and 120 fps video at FHD is for cinematic-style videos. You can also control audio sources on the Galaxy Note20 series, adjusting and selecting between onboard mics or external sources so the sound you want comes through clearly.
