Will.i.am Is Selling a Face Mask With Wi-Fi, LED Lights, and Built-In Headphones

The Xupermask will set you back P15,000.

The country is back to square one. Yup, just when we thought we were closer to getting rid of face masks, COVID-19 cases have piled up once again. If you're in the market for even more masks, you'll be happy to know that there's tech available. And, this one comes from Will.i.am himself.

Xupermask, created by Will.i.am in partnership with Honeywell, is a high-concept smart face mask that promises safety and innovation. Just how innovative is it, you ask? Well, it comes with a whole range of bells and whistles like Wi-Fi, LED lights, and built-in headphones. But that's not even half of it.

The one-of-a-kind smart mask uses a silicone face seal to keep wearers safe. It also provides comfort using dual three-speed fans and a HEPA filter. Other features include active noise canceling audio and microphone capabilities, Bluetooth connectivity, LED day glow lights, and a magnetic earbud docking system.

Like every smart mask out there, the Xupermask runs on battery. It runs for seven hours, according to Honeywell, and after that, you'll have to charge it using a USB-C cable.

"We created Xupermask to change the game of our new normal," the rapper said. "In this new age of style and security, Xupermask is an uncompromising face mask design with high-tech performance for the modern lifestyle. Alongside Honeywell, we've engineered a state-of-the-art Smart Mask to provide function with style."

Currently, the Xupermask comes in two colorways: white with gray and orange accents and black with orange accents. Each mask comes with a carrying case, HEPA filters good for three months, multi-size ear tips, a charging cable, and a fabric mask. The smart masks drop tomorrow and considering the hype, it looks like they will sell out fast.
