  1. A HEARTY BREAKFAST. The English swear on their breakfast, Americans will lean toward the greasy, and the Chinese insist on congee. Do what works.
  2. STRING. While drinking: set out on the fl oor and try to walk the line. If you’re already wobbling, you’ve had enough.
  3. GINGER TEA. Steep some fresh ginger in hot water and drink as a tea. This will reduce your motion sickness and make your stomach feel better.
  4. BANANAS. Gentle on the stomach, bananas replenish the lost potassium and electrolytes in your system.
  5. THREE LEGS COOLING WATER. This Chinese medicinal water is purified with Gypsum Fibrosum, to cool down your overheated body.
  6. A TEASPOON OF YEAST. They say that a teaspoon of dry yeast helps mitigate the effects of alcohol.
  7. ESPRESSO BEANS. Chew on them or have a cup of joe to boost your energy.
  8. MILK. Best consumed before drinking to help line your stomach and slow down alcohol absorption. If it’stoo late for that, it’s high in calcium and is good for you.
  9. HANGOVER PREVENTION DRINK. Made with tumeric root, this Japanese hangover drink improves digestive functions and promises you wake up feeling great.
  10. VICKS. When nausea strikes, rub a little bit of menthol underyour nose. (Also available in a handy inhaler version.)
  11. MEDICINE. An ibuprofen or an aspirin will take care of the headaches.
  12. CRACKERS. Load up on carbohydrates to absorb the remaining alcohol in your bloodstream.
