Here's Your Last Chance to Celebrate World Whisky Day at Solaire
Yes, World Whisky Day is a thing, and Solaire Resort and Casino has been celebrating it over the last five days. The luxury property has put 10 of the world’s most sought-after whisky brands in the spotlight in 50 unique events held in Solaire’s signature restaurants and bars—Finestra, Yakumi, Red Lantern, Waterside, Fresh, Oasis, Dragon Bar, Whisky Bar, and Baccarat Room & Bar. This Sunday is your last chance to try out various these whiskies served in traditional and contemporary ways, fully exploring how whisky can best be enjoyed.
Founded by a man named Blair Bowman when he was a student at the University of Aberdeen in the U.K. in 2012, World Whisky Day was introduced because he wanted more people to get to know and appreciate the fine spirit to the world. Bowman has done hundreds of public and private events and tastings all around the world as a whisky industry commentator and author of the bestselling The Pocket Guide to Whisky.
The events at Solaire features a delectable collection of food pairings, with bespoke and classic beverages made from a large variety of whisky brands. It is also an opportunity for people to learn everything about whisky from industry experts and brand ambassadors. Expect to see popular whisky names including Jack Daniels, Glenfiddich, Glenmorangie, Dalmore, Macallan, Diageo, Balvenie, Woodford Reserve, and William Grant being served throughout the event.
Headline events include a Jack Daniels BBQ Brunch at Waterside, Dalmore Royal Aperitivo at Finestra, Glenfiddich Whisky & Chocolate Flight at Oasis, Japanese Whisky Dinner at Yakumi, Whisky and Cigar at Baccarat Room and Bar, Balvenie Whisky Dinner at Red Lantern, Diageo Ghost & Rare Releases at Whisky Bar, a William Grant Whisky Week Menu at Dragon Bar, and many more.
