Three Pizza Places in the Philippines Made the 2022 50 Top Pizza List in the Asia-Pacific

To hell with carbs. Pizzas are joy. Can we get an amen? And with 50 Top Pizza, we now know how our local pizza joints stand against some of the world's titans of carb-filled delight. The Italy-based online guide serves up the "best pizzerias in the world" and it just recognized some homegrown talent in its latest annual list.

Crosta Pizzeria, Wildflour Italian, and a mano were each added to the Asia-Pacific region rankings for 2022. The vibes should be just right with these things, of course. Apart from how their pizzas taste, these joints were chosen for their ambiance, space, and decor, as well as their wine and beer and everything else in between.
At the 32nd spot, we have Crosta Pizzeria at Salcedo Village in Makati. Owned by Ingga Cabangon-Chua and Tom Woudwyck, Crosta's artisanal pizzas are a sight for sore eyes. Its known for their sourdough bread, which is said to have a seven-year journey and is cooked in a coal-fire before it makes its way to our tables. Crosta's Margherita and (this might ruffle some feathers) its Hawaiian take are must-tries here.

Meanwhile, Wildflour Italian in Taguig was ranked 38th. Its woodfire brick oven-cooked pizzas and handmade pasta and cocktails are all about staying true to the classic Italian fine dining experience. Wildlfour's menu offers us the best of northern and southern Italian cuisine. We'd recommend ordering its Margarita or Prosciutto pizzas (chef's kiss).

a mano at the Powerplant Mall in Makati is known for its more traditional approach to pizzas and its red Valoriani oven. Ranking 48th on the list, the restaurant is a darling among judges. So much so that 50 Top Pizza had even given it the One to Watch 2022 Solania award. We can't go wrong with some off-menu items like the Egg Ravioli and Stracciatella Pizza on a casual visit.

The Asia-Pacific leader was 48h Pizza e Gnocchi Bar in Australia and Bottega in China. Peppe Pizzeria in France and A Neopolitan Pizza in New York topped their respective regions, as well.
Italian pizzerias, obviously, had their own classifications. Pizzeria I Masanielli by Francesco Martucci in Caserta and Pizzarium by Gabriele Bonci in Rome were two of the best.
