5 Gourmet Dishes That Prove The Microwave Is Your Best Friend

IMAGE Majoy Siason

Admit it: Just like any loving affair, your relationship with the microwave has had its ups and downs, yet you still consider it as one of the most important anchors in your life. You can live without it, but you choose not to, because it makes your life easier. That tiny ding makes you smile, and your relationship doesn’t even take much effort from both parties. This relationship offers you sustenance, and that’s exactly all you need in life. You get the point.

A quick Google search provides answers to all the myths that surround this amazing appliance. No, it’s not as damaging to your health as you think. (You can stop worrying about its radiation, but if you must, you can still stay six feet away.) And no, it does not alter the nutritional benefits of your food. In the meantime, you can cut down cooking time so that you have more time to actually enjoy your meal with your (real) loved one.

The microwave can do absolute wonders beyond just heating up already-cooked food. As any man who's lived alone should know, the microwave can be the most useful, versatile, life-saving kitchen appliance you have. The limit is your imagination.
