Aaron Isip is here and you shouldn't miss his dinner

It's technically only the third day of the holiday season, but already dinner parties and reunions are filling up the last page of our calendar. One of the most sought-after events this month? A pop-up by The Moment Group and Aaron Isip. Originally slated for a four-day December 7 to 10 run, seats were booked so fast that the organizers had to extend until December 11.
Isip is a Filipino chef based in France. He heads the kitchen of Parisian eatery Dix-Huit and, in 2015, was awarded the prestigious Trophée Espoir of Ile de France by Gault & Millau. He's been noted for his flawless French techniques, Southeast Asian and Latin influences, and Filipino-rooted flavors.
His pop-up will be held at The Moment Group's recently opened Test Kitchen, located right below their headquarters, the Moplex.
Here's a mouthwatering glimpse of what to expect from the exciting collaboration of the country's most prolific restaurant group and the acclaimed international chef:
Kuhol in basil gata, crispy shallots, salicornia
Wild seabass aguachile in calamansi, spring vegetables, pickled radishes, wild arugula flowers
Purple Curry: ube or Purple yam curry with calamari a la plancha, potato croutons, chicharon, butterfly pea flowers
Flash-poached diwal, bone marrow, green mango sauce vierge, herb snow
Calamansi cream, torched Italian meringue, kaffir lime zest, physalis
The entire meal comprises eight courses for P3,800+. Dinners are scheduled at 7:30 p.m. For reservations, contact 0917-519-7980. Test Kitchen is at Moplex, Karrivin Plaza, 2316 Chino Roces Extension, Makati City.
