All the Restaurant and Fast Food Dishes You Can Cook in Your Home
Flex your home cooking with these restaurant-quality dishes you easily whip up in your kitchen.
At the end of March, Jollibee decided that the best way to share joy during the quarantine was to let people cook its legendary Chickenjoy inside their homes. It's by no means exactly the same as what you'd get if you go to Jollibee. The parts are cut and marinated, but there's no breading and no gravy, so you have to do those bits freestyle. According to Yummy, the best way is to thaw the chicken, dip it in an egg batter, then coat it in seasoned flour before frying.
Available at Robinson's Supermarkets
Last April 15, McDonald's joined the fray of generous fast-food enterprises offering their signature meals for home cooks. Its chicken nuggets (P454), marinated chicken cuts (P219), and spicy marinated chicken cuts (P219) are now available in selected outlets. Earlier, McDonald's also unveiled the recipe for the Sausage McMuffin for people who have been starved of this popular breakfast item.
If fried chicken's not your thing, Mang Inasal is offering frozen marinated cuts of chicken (leg and breast) in regular and spicy flavors, bangus sisig, pork barbecue, and lumpiang togue. Available only in Visayas and Mindanao outlets, Greenwich is helping fans come up with their own version of its famous pizzas. The marinated chicken is for sale (eight pieces for P225) as well as some of the pasta sauces (spaghetti and carbonara). If you're good at making pizza crust (or, you know, just use bread), you can embellish it with Greenwich toppings, too, like bacon bits, chorizo, ham, beef burger crumbles, and more.
