There’s nothing like cheesecake to complete a long weekend off work, especially when it coincides with Valentine's. Perfect for couples celebrating the celebration together, or for friends keeping each other company this Sunday. One type of cheesecake to try is hanjuku, a Japanese style cake that’ll satisfy every guilty pleasure. The most popular place to get your hands (and forks) on a hanjuku cheesecake in the Philippines is none other than Kumori, a Japanese bakery and café that’s built a loyal following in the last few years.

Kumori is famous for its signature hanjuku, which comes in ube, chocolate, and cheese flavors. But this year, they decided to mix things up a bit with a limited time edition Strawberry Hanjuku Cake just in time for Valentine’s Day.

The half-baked cheesecake is composed of a middle layer of sweet strawberry compote and topped with whole strawberries surrounded by crumble and powdered sugar. Its sweetness is derived from the strawberries more than the compote, and the contrasting textures of the fluffy, half-baked cheesecake and the crumble complete the effect of the cake.

If you’re looking to spice up—or sweeten—this long Valentine’s weekend, then you can’t go wrong with Kumori’s Strawberry Hanjuku Cake, which will only be available for a few weeks.
