Le Petit Souffle opens in Mega Fashion Hall and they have taro

Mark your calendars: Today, December 9, Le Petit Souffle will finally be opening the doors to their second branch at the Mega Fashion Hall. While the place has maintained its characteristic rustic countryside look, Chefs Miko Aspiras and Kristine Lotilla apparently haven't run out of ways to take people's breath away with stunning, equally picture-perfect dishes.

By the entrance beside the restaurant is a patisserie called “Bespoke Bakery,” a dream come true for chefs Miko Aspiras and Kristine Lotts. The patiserrie is their way of introducing different kinds of pastries to the average Filipino and showing them a side of the Filipino pastry they have yet to unexplored. They offer a wide selection from matcha and ube croissants, to delicious brownie and confetti bars. Chef Miko has also introduced the salted white nutella entremets, which had been inspired by one of his trips earlier this year. He walked into a store serving a white nutella drink, and saw that they steeped hazelnuts in milk for hours—maybe even days. He decided to try that with cream and the rest is history—and served with a nutella mousse at the center.

The space also has a new function room people can rent out for special events, and will also serve as a space for future workshops the chefs might hold.

There are also delicious additions to the menu (which they’ll add it to the Century Mall branch, too, for those who frequent the Makati area more often). Their extensive menu now includes a hearty potage de haricots soup, delicious new salad flavors (one has octopus), and a new line of taro items like the taro French toast and taro latte.
