One Way to Beat the Heat: Grab and Go Buko Pandan

In the grand scheme of dessert-drinks, Filipino dining chain Manam has skills in spades. None from their bevy of beverages is overloaded with candy, ice cream, and other cavity-causing embellishments, but despite the understatedness, it does—and rather well—the job of cooling you down and giving you a sweet ending.
Already in the line-up are crowdpleasers like Ube and Sago; Mango, Pomelo, Coconut Cream, and sago; and Iced Coffee and Black Sago—most of which are drinks inspired by light desserts and for this excruciatingly hot summer, The Moment Group has decided to gift us with two new additions set to be launched by the end of the week.
The ultimate tita treat, Buko Pandan, has been converted to a light, coconutty drink whose flavor is made more pronounced with a coconut milk base and pandan-infused gulaman. The other guzzler? An easy-to-love combination of cantaloupe and banana—a sip instantaly taking you back to beachside days scraping melons into juice.
All this is well and good, but useless once you leave the air-conditioned confines of the restaurant armed with nothing against the relentless heat. Thus, the cool folks at TMG are set to offer their famous drinks in takeaway vessels.
Manam has branches at G/F Net Park Building, 5th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City; Greenbelt 2, Makati City; South Wing, SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City; Ayala Fairview Terraces, Quezon City.
