We may not have the epic ball drop like they do on New York’s Times Square, but Manila has its fair share of New Year’s Eve parties. If you are looking to greet the coming year on a fancier scale than with the usual lucis and stray-bullet dodging at home, here are some suggestions on where to head out before midnight strikes.

Solaire Resort and Casino

The Tent at Solaire rolls out the red carpet for 2019 with entertainment by theater diva Carla Laforteza, The Voice finalist, Timmy Pavino, and Bolt of Talent Grand Champion, Lance Busa. The night's main event are the performances of Morissette Amon and Martin Nievera. 

At the Pool Side, there are more performances by the 3rd Avenue Band, Sheila Valderrama, Cris Villonco, Gian Magdangal, and David Ezra. Guests count down the minutes to the fireworks display at midnight, and then continue the merrymaking at the after party that lasts until dawn. The Pool Side event opens at 9:30 pm for Solaire Rewards Club members and 11 pm for guests of The Tent.

Eastwood City

Bamboo, Ben & Ben, Moira, and Karylle headline the "Eastwood Quezon City New Year Countdown to 2019." The star-studded party is punctuated by the Emoji Balloon Drop at 12 midnight as thousands of happy emoji balloons descend upon the crowd to spread positivity for the coming year. 

The celebration continues until the early hours of 2019 at the "Eastwood Quezon City New Year Countdown to 2019 After Party" at Fuente Circle. Revelers can dance to music by DJs X-Factor, Marc Marasigan, David Ardiente, Khai Lim, and MC Victor Pring.

City of Dreams Manila ushers in 2019 with live band performances at the Garage and CenterPlay.
