Planters Peanuts Just Launched Their Own Craft Beer

Beer and nuts make an excellent pairing, which is partly why so many bars leave a bowl of nuts out for guests to enjoy. But if you've ever wished to somehow fuse beer and peanuts together, Planters has the perfect new drink for you.
The peanut company has announced that they're launching a new craft beer called Mr. IPA-Nut, marking their first entry into the world of craft beer. The beer is brewed with Wakatu and Citra hops. "Mr. IPA-Nut has a unique citrus aroma with a hint of honey-roasted peanuts followed by a slightly salty finish," Ashley Tople, marketing director for Planters, said in a statement.
But unfortunately, it won't be available everywhere. The beer will be only be available exclusively in Illinois. Starting on October 27, which is also National American Beer Day, Mr. IPA-Nut will be sold in 4-packs of 16oz. cans for $9.99 at select stores, and it will also be available at Noon Whistle Brewery in Lombard, IL.
If you don't live in the area, there's another option there for you to try. Peanut-flavored beer can also be found at Catawba Brewing Company in Ashville, North Carolina. The light brown ale is called Peanut Butter Jelly Time, and it's brewed from five different grains and then aged on raspberries and roasted peanuts, giving it the taste of your favorite childhood sandwich. The beer is also a bit elusive, though, as it's only available in online and in Catawba's tasting rooms around March.
