While it is a known fact that Filipinos love to eat, there is one realm of dining that is widely unexplored by the average Pinoy—fine dining. That’s what the newly opened Privatus Private Dining is hoping to achieve. Before AJ Reyes, the chef at the helm of this gastronomical endeavor, even decided it was time to open their own place, the Privatus team focused their efforts on catering. “We started catering two years back in the houses of our clients when we decided to open our own event place,” Chef AJ explains. Now, they’re excitedly planning their own events, including one that focuses on plating and cocktail pairings.

They have an entire library of spices and microherbs.

Privatus Private Dining sits at the top of a warehouse, tucked away in the heart of Pasig. Because of the cheap rent, they can afford to lower the prices of their food to provide a fine-dining experience to their customers at more affordable prices. They focus on courses, and customers are free to choose whether they want five, seven, or 10 varieties. Because there is no set menu for this omakase, each dining experience will be completely different depending on what is available. Each dinner will usually last for about three hours.

This fine dining experience operates from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays, while they can extend to 11 p.m. during the weekends. Each guest needs to make reservations at least three days in advance to give the team enough time to come up with a suitable menu.

Privatus Private Dining is at 8 F. Legaspi Street, Barangay Maybunga, Pasig City; tel. no. 0998-590-0996.
