This One-Minute Video Game Lets You Cook Sinigang
This isn't Cooking Mama. It's not even your mama's cooking. This is sinigang, your way, but virtually.
Game developers Chikon Club created a simple one-minute (or maybe longer if you're not really sure) Flash game featuring the iconic Filipino dish sinigang. Every ingredient is laid out—pork cubes (sorry, vegans), slices of radish, tomatoes, kangkong, sili, string beans, onions, and even patis and Knorr sinigang mix. All you have to do is to put them all together the right way.
On its website, Chikon Club writes: "One of the reasons why we wanted to make this prototype is because we wanted a cooking simulation that wasn't Cooking Mama or Hungry Hearts. Our game artist, Trina Pagtakhan, also wanted mouthwatering Philippine food assets that be on par with Final Fantasy's XV."
The game is available to play via browser (free) or as an app (P50).
The premise is pretty simple, but it's actually harder than it looks. Many an experienced cook or gamer have failed to cook the perfect sinigang.
