The Nostalgia Lounge & Bar in Ortigas is a Throwback to the Golden Age of Cocktails

In 2020, we'll be exactly hundred years away from the American Prohibition era. That's a full century, and yet, the speakeasies of the 1920s continue to inspire the look and feel of modern-day pubs. The drinks that these speakeasies were known to serve have also inspired a recent movement in mixology—a resurgence of craft cocktails.

The Nostalgia Lounge & Bar in Ortigas is one such modern establishment that's been inspired by Prohibition-era speakeasies to create quality drinks. Its inventive mixologists now present new concepts that revive the glam of the golden age of cocktails.

Prohibition Bar Menu
The Nostalgia Lounge & Bar recently launched its Prohibition Bar menu, which is inspired by the 1920s Prohibition era, when selling alcohol was done behind closed doors. The restaurant bar is trying to bring back the speakeasy bar concept—not with a hidden entrance, but with an exclusive lineup of bespoke cocktails that guests can enjoy against a backdrop of classic interiors and a cozy atmosphere.

Whisky Collection
There are over 89 different kinds of premium single malt whisky housed in The Nostalgia. Among them are carefully curated bottles from the six major whisky regions of Scotland, and even the ones from Japan, Ireland, and India. The establishment's whisky menu is printed on old Vinyl Records to amplify the nostalgic ambiance of the place.

Gin Trolley & Gin Buffet
What's not to love about booze on wheels? The Nostalgia also has an old-fashioned gin trolley, which can be wheeled around the bar. Guests can even ask one of the bartenders to make them their favorite gin cocktails right at their table. The Nostalgia serves gin from France, England, Spain, Italy, Germany, and Australia. Have this unique experience daily, Monday to Sunday from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

There are also Gin Buffet Nights at The Nostalgia, held twice a month. From 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM on those nights, guests can enjoy unlimited gin, and can even choose their own mixers and garnish. There are seven premium gins to choose from, and the Gin Buffet will only set you back P800 per head.
