COVID-19 Infections Around the World Just Passed 2 Million Cases

The coronavirus pandemic shows no signs of slowing. According to data by Johns Hopkins University, the global number of cases has hit 2,000,000. And it's growing by the minute: As of this writing, the total number of confirmed cases has climbed to 2,070,000.
In just three months, the number of infections reached a million cases since the virus was identified. It took just but 10 days for the number to double to today's two million.
Based on the COVID-19 dashboard, the U.S. is leading with over 600,000 cases followed by Spain and Italy. The total number of deaths has also reached 137,193, while the number of recoveries has grown to 517,444.
The John Hopkins University of Medicine's coronavirus resource center "advances the understanding of the virus, informs the public, and briefs policymakers in order to guide a response, improve care, and save lives."
For the first time, however, COVID-19 recoveries in the Philippines has exceeded the number of deaths.
