This Philippine COVID-19 Tracker Maps Every Single Case of the Coronavirus in the Country
As the spread of COVID-19 shows no signs of slowing down, it’s time to bookmark the Department of Health’s online tracker for COVID-19 if you want to stay up to date on what the World Health Organization (WHO) calls “public enemy number one.”
This website tracks every single current and former cast of COVID-19 in the Philippines. Purple circles are pinned on every region with persons under investigation (PUI) for COVID-19. Clicking on a purple pin will show you the details of PUI cases in each region, as well as the date of the last update.
As of February 17, 16 out of the country’s 17 regions have cases of PUIs. The National Capital Region currently has the most number of PUIs with 104 admitted patients.
However, only three cases have been officially confirmed to be COVID-19. Two of these patients fully recovered, while only one has died (the first COVID-19 casualty outside of China). All of these cases were under NCR.
There are currently 171 admitted PUIs and 347 discharged PUI patients.
The global cases tab leads to the international dashboard by the WHO, which tracks all COVID-19 cases in the world. As of today, there are 51,866 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the world in 26 countries. The casualties have reached 1,669, resulting in a current mortality rate of 3.2 percent.
The Philippine dashboard’s data was sourced from the Epidemiology Bureau of the DOH and visualized by the Knowledge Management and Information Technology Service of the DOH.
