Boris Johnson, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, has tested positive for COVID-19

“Over the last 24 hours I have developed mild symptoms of the coronavirus—a temperature and a mild cough. On the advice of the chief medical officer, I have taken a test that has come out positive,” he said in a video posted to his Twitter account. “I am now self-isolating, but I will continue to lead the government’s response via video-conference as we fight this virus.”

In his two–minute statement, Johnson said he is working from home and that he is continuing to communicate with his top team.

Johnson is the latest world leader who has come forward and revealed that he has the coronavirus.

A few days ago, Prince Charles also announced that he is positive for COVID-19
