Do You Have an Attractive Penis?

Oh, come on, like you haven't thought about it. It's a dynamic as old as time: the male...ahem, centerpiece, and its intractable relationship with our egos and our lives. But while men pay way too much attention to their little generals from the time they're doodling them on the chalkboard before second-period chemistry, most of us have expended precious little effort into figuring out what women really want or care about... until now.
Cosmopolitan polled women on their thoughts about penises and now a study from Swiss researchers published in The Journal of Sexual Medicine is out on the same subject. The Swiss study, it is to be noted, was actually commissioned to alleviate the fears of the subjects of reconstructive surgery, who worried that their Johnsons would be forever seen as abnormal.
The upshot of their study? "Penile length," the all-consuming factor that launched a thousand dick jokes and spates of performance anxiety, ranked a mere sixth out of the eight factors women were asked to rate—hardly ahead of the post-op features those men were so anxious about. Much more important were factors like girth, the aesthetic appearance of the skin, and most interestingly, the appearance of men's pubic hair, which came in at second. So, insecure men of the world, throw away the pills and pumps and invest your time and money in something that'll really pay dividends: a good pair of scissors.
