Ikea Just Released a Kama Sutra Guide for Bedroom Satisfaction

“Are you getting enough satisfaction in your bedroom?” asks Swedish home brand IKEA.
This feels weird, because why would a furniture store ask about your bedroom situation? It turns out IKEA has a lot to say about the matter. With the goal of inspiring creativity in its consumers, it presents the IKEA Kama Sutra: The Ultimate Guide to Bedroom Satisfaction.
Just like the original Kama Sutra, IKEA’s take on the ancient Indian sanskrit wants you to achieve the highest level of fulfillment in the bedroom—without the physical intimacy.
“The IKEA Kama Sutra was created for two primary reasons: 1. To inspire consumers to live a better everyday life at home, beginning with a bedroom that truly brings them pleasure, and 2. To showcase in a fun, engaging, visual way how easy it is to achieve your own bedroom nirvana with IKEA products and solutions,” the popular home brand explained.
The 44-page handbook is filled with 20 different bedroom decorating ideas, all strongly inspired by the Indian sexuality manual. The sultry recommendations on how to transform your bedroom experience are presented through suggestive sexual positions puns.
Here are a few of our favorites:
The Widely Open
The Seated Desire
The Glowing Boudoir
The Doggy Style
The Narcissus Delight
Curious? IKEA has made the manual available online for free, so everybody is welcome to flip through the Kama Sutra bedrooms. Have fun.
