It's undeniable that one of UFC's biggest draws has been good ol' Conor McGregor, who can knock out world champions in 13 seconds flat and then expertly trash-talk them. However, he's taking a break from fucking shit up for quite some time—until mid-2017, at the earliest.
McGregor's girlfriend, Dee Devlin, is currently pregnant with the couple's first child, and McGregor is staying out of the ring until she gives birth. UFC president Dana White told the Los Angeles Times:
"He won't fight before May. His girl [Devlin] gets super stressed out when he fights. He doesn't want her having any of that stress while she's pregnant. He's good. He should take time off. He's been fighting nonstop. Nothing wrong with him taking time off. It's good for him and her and it's good for the baby."
Probably good for the three of them too if he stops throwing water bottles and chairs at people, but hey, we can't ask him to change everything about himself.
