Jeff Cariaso Reaches Out to Female Track Star in Barefoot Runners

Remember the photos of a young speedster in makeshift running shoes that recently went viral?
Rhea Ballos of Salvacion Elementary School reportedly won three gold medals in the 400-, 800-, and the 1500-meter runs for elementary girls during the Iloilo Schools Sports Council Meet, while wearing nothing but a plaster bandage on her feet.
The word "Nike" and Swoosh logo were even playfully scribbled on her improvised pair.
Netizens were moved by the 11-year-old runner from Balasan and started tagging the American sports brand, as well as local basketball specialty store Titan 22. The news got to Titan co-founder and Alaska Aces head coach Jeffrey Cariaso, who immediately took to Twitter to get in touch with Rhea.
Earlier today, The Jet confirmed that he has been able to contact the female track star and her adviser. Here's hoping the seven-time PBA champion could help Rhea beyond giving her decent runners.
