Zinedine Zidane, Football Legend, is a FIFA 20 Cover Star

Everyone's favorite head-butting hero is finally taking the cover of FIFA. French football star Zinedine Zidane will join the upcoming FIFA 20 Ultimate Edition cover line-up and be inducted as an Icon player, alongside Andrea Pirlo, Didier Drogba, Ian Wright, and Ronald Koeman. Players have long been begging for the legendary midfielder and current manager of Real Madrid to have his spotlight in the EA Sports world; according to a press release, Zidane is the most-requested Icon ever. He finally got his shot.
Zidane boasts a stellar career highlight reel, from winning the 1998 World Cup with France and being named player of the tournament, to excelling on the Juventus and Real Madrid teams. He even won the Golden Ball for player of the tournament at the 2006 World Cup, which is incredibly impressive, considering that was when he famously head-butted opponent Marco Materazzi in the chest during the final against Italy and was removed from the game. Yes, he was just that good.
If you’ve never seen The Head-Butt, by the way, it's fantastic. The way Zidane kept his cool, stood his ground, and just knocked Materazzi flat made him seem like an overlooked Avenger. While it was unsportsmanlike, no doubt, and violence should not be condoned, obviously, I’ve got to make an exception for this one.
All head-butting aside, FIFA 20 is gearing up to be a fantastic addition to the series, with plenty of new content—including Volta Football mode, which lets you play street-football style and looks absolutely incredible.
The FIFA 20 and FIFA 20 Ultimate editions will be released on September 27, with a three-day head start for anyone who pre-orders the game; pre-orders are available now. Honestly, if EA Sports doesn't let me head-butt players in the chest, even in its street mode, I’ll be extremely disappointed.
