Tokyo Is the Best City for Nightlife, According to Study

MrQ, an online casino, has just released a study on the best cities for sociable students. As part of the study, the site released an unofficial guide to university life by analyzing everything from the best cities for students to the best cities for nightlife. After all, university isn't just for studying, it's also a time to experience the world in new ways.
The factors that the researchers took into consideration for the best cities for nightlife were each city's total number of nightclubs, the average cost of a beer, and the average cost of a cocktail. It was a lot of work, but Tokyo came out on top, followed by London and New York. No surprise there.
"The night scene in Tokyo has an array of choices for students with 1,068 nightclubs in total. This is no surprise given how densely populated the city is, with over 13 million residents," the study said. "London follows with 1,053 nightclubs for students to dance the night away. New York City has nearly half the amount of clubs than the top two, but the most LGBTQ+ bars globally. Students will need plenty of coin to afford £5.61 a pint and £14.00 a cocktail on average."
Check out the 10 best cities for nightlife below.
- Tokyo, Japan
- London, United Kingdom
- New York City, New York, United States
- Paris, France
- Chicago, United States
- Los Angeles, California, United States
- Edinburgh, United Kingdom
- Toronto, Canada

- Seattle, Washington, United States
U.S. cities dominated the list including Chicago, Los Angeles, Austin, and Seattle. But, that doesn't mean Europe didn't put up a fight. Aside from London, Paris also earned a spot in the ranking.
Not to be a spoilsport, but if you're a student reading this, maybe look through the whole study instead of focusing on just a city's nightclubs when deciding where to study? Just maybe. On the other hand, if you're an adult looking to have a good time, it's time to check Tokyo out.
