Next year, 2021, is looking to be huge for both travel and tourism—so much so that several experts have already come up with a term to refer to the phenomenon: revenge travel. According to studies, the next few months will be a period for travel where people will try to make up for lost vacations.
National Geographic, for one, is more than on-board with the idea, releasing its annual list of the Best of the World 2021. "The world is full of wonders—even if they’re hard to reach," National Geographic explains. "While the pandemic has brought our journeys to a standstill, it has not quieted our curiosity."
From adventures to the Caribbean islands to once-in-a-lifetime trips to Antarctica, these are the places you should put on your travel bucket list for 2021.
