Cebu Pacific said Thursday it would soon accept flight payments via e-wallets to make the booking process easier and more accessible to passengers.

According to Candice Iyog, Cebu Pacific vice president for Marketing and Customer Experience, payments will be accepted via GCash, PayMaya, and GrabPay.

"Part of this enhanced self-service capability is providing our customers with alternative forms of payment, especially since credit card integration tends to be very low," Iyog said.

The move is part of the airline's digital transformation, meant to enhance the self-service booking experience for customers, she added, citing the boom of e-payment channels during the pandemic as a safety precaution.

Earlier this year, Cebu Pacific retired its hotline services as its customer service went fully digital.
