Want a Free Flight to Hong Kong? Cathay Pacific Is Giving Away 20,400 Tickets to Filipinos
Earlier this month, Hong Kong Tourism Board announced their plan to raffle off 500,000 free air tickets to Hong Kong to boost the city’s tourism. Now, the city is living up to that promise. The first batch of the free tickets is allotted to Southeast Asia, with Cathay Pacific committing 20,400 free air tickets to Filipinos exclusively.
There are no strings attached at all—every Filipino is eligible to win a free roundtrip ticket to Hong Kong if they complete the following steps.
Here’s how Filipinos can win a free roundtrip ticket to Hong Kong:
1| Be a Cathay Pacific member. If you’re not one already, complete the quick sign up process on the Cathay Pacific website. Membership is free.
2| Set your alarm for 12:00 p.m. on March 3, 2023.
3| Visit the campaign website and sign in with your Cathay Pacific account.
4| Answer three questions correctly.
5| Wait for the results.
If you’re one of the first 20,400 entrants with the correct answers, you’ll score a free roundtrip ticket to Hong Kong. You’ll have until 11:59 p.m. on March 9 to complete the quiz, and the winners will be announced on the campaign website on March 21, 2023. You’ll also receive an email confirming that you won a free ticket with instructions on how to redeem your prize.
You’ll only be able to submit one entry, so if you’re planning on a family or barkada trip, everyone will need to sign up to compete.
After finally opening up for tourists in January, Hong Kong is pulling out all the stops to revive its tourism. Not only can tourists vie for free flights, but they can also avail of the one million free “Hong Kong Goodies” to get the best deals around the city. These vouchers can either cover a complimentary welcome drink at participating bars, restaurants, and hotels, or they can come in the form of cash vouchers for select restaurants, shops, and attractions. Over 16,000 outlets are offering up freebies around the city as Hong Kong levels up with its new travel campaign, “Hello Hong Kong.”
“The Hong Kong Tourism Board is prepared to welcome visitors from Southeast Asia once again with great pleasure. Hong Kong is extending its warmest welcome along with a variety of attractive offers through the launch of a global integrated campaign Hello Hong Kong. I am confident that visitors will enjoy a unique and unforgettable travel experience when they return to this vibrant city with Hong Kong’s diverse culture and immersive tourism offerings,” said Raymond Chan, Regional Director, Southeast Asia of Hong Kong Tourism Board.
