Hey, do you like books? Do you like the beach? Do you like quitting your job? Do you have a pulse? Have I got news for you. A bookstore owner at a luxury resort in the Maldives is looking for someone to help him sell books to rich people. Print isn't dead!

Soneva Fushi, a resort that claims to be the "original desert island hideaway in the Maldives," is the setting of your dream job, where you'll be working the desk at what is possibly the most remote bookshop in the world. The ideal candidate has a "passion for books" and is willing to engage guests of all ages, from entertaining kids to helping guests brush up on their creative writing skills.

The resort itself offers tropical climates, ocean views, and plenty of things to do when you're not flipping old novels. As bookshop owner Philip Blackwell told the Guardian, "The pay is derisory but the fringe benefits, unparalleled."

Part of the job also involves maintaining an "entertaining and lively" blog, which means documenting your experiences living in paradise. Brutal. Just imagine the shit you'll get to talk at your next high school reunion—if you bother ever coming home again at all.

Anyway, if this sounds like your thing, and it does, check out Soneva Fushi's website and email your resumé to [email protected] Or don't! Because I'm taking the job. In fact, disregard all of this.

What job?
