Tour This Mangrove Reserve That's Only a Few Hours Away from Metro Manila

If you've already finished up your vacation leaves, why not opt for weekend overnight trips instead? Metro Manila dwellers have a lot of places to discover just a few hours away from the city, and one of them is the mangrove tour in Hamilo Coast, Nasugbu, Batangas.
Hamilo Coast has preserved more than 10 hectares of mangrove trees with the help of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Philippines, and is considered the largest mangrove reserve in Nasugbu. The good news is, you can actually tour it.
The Mangrove Tour in Papaya Cove starts with a 200-meter walk through the mangrove forest, during which you'll get to see white mangroves native to the location. The narrow path eventually leads to the water; you'll then board a boat, and guides will paddle you through the carefully reforested and now protected area. The tour ends when freshwater meets seawater and you dock at Papaya Cove.
The tour is at P2,800 per head for guests, while Pico de Loro Cove members can enjoy it for P2,700.
