“I don't want Miss Universe to be the only highlight of my life."

In the latest episode of the Lonely Hearts podcast by Esquire Philippines, Miss Universe 2015 touched on life almost six years after her beauty pageant win.

“Of course, after one dream is finished, you want to move on to the next and you want to start again. And even if I fail at it a few times, it's part of the process. So I will come in, I would not want to, in 20 years’ time, say [that] the peak of my life was a beauty pageant that I won decades ago,” said Pia on the podcast.

“Of course, you want to be able to have few achievements, a few things that you can be proud of. Miss Universe was a big thing, but I'm definitely ready for the next challenges and achievements of my life… This is a stepping stone into other things. It's not the only thing. It's not like parang pag nanalo la ng crown, yun ka na habang buhay.”

You could say the Miss Universe was only the beginning and there's more in store for Pia in the coming years.

To listen to Pia talk more about life post-pageant, her fitness routine, the importance of being healthy, and her interest in starting a business, listen to the latest episode of Esquire Philippines’ Lonely Hearts podcast on SpotifyApple PodcastsAnchor, and wherever you get your podcasts.
