After Opening a Branch in London, Potato Corner Sets Its Sights on Dubai

Potato Corner is slowly taking over corners in both Europe and the Middle East. After announcing the opening of its London branch, its global expansion continues with another store coming up in Dubai.
Led by Dubai-based Filipino businessman and restaurateur Rolly Brucales, the new store will be located at the IBN Battuta Mall very soon. The flavored fries chain has already opened 39 international stores this year alone. These include ones in China, Thailand, Singapore, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United Arab Emirates. Potato Corner's footprint can now be found all over Asia, North America, South America, Australia, the Middle East, and Europe. Its 1,1400th store opened in Zarraga, Iloilo earlier this year, as well.

“We’re very pleased with the growth momentum of Potato Corner, and we look forward to further increasing its footprint. Alongside revenues and returns, accelerating Potato Corner’s expansion means more franchisees and their families benefiting from the business, more job opportunities in the communities where we will operate, and more guests finding joy in a Giga cup of their favorite flavored fries," PIZZA President and Chief Executive Officer Vicente Gregorio said in a statement.
Established in 1992, Potato Corner has grown out of its humble food cart roots and has become one of the biggest kiosk-based chains in the country through its franchising model. In 2022, the Potato Corner brand had been acquired by Shakey’s Pizza Asia Ventures, Inc. (PSE: PIZZA) in 2022. As it stands, Potato Corner has 1,195 stores in the Philippines and 205 stores worldwide.
