Dingdong PH Moves to Professionalize and Regularize Riders

Actor and businessman Dong Dantes is teaming up with the NGO YesPinoy Foundation Inc. to professionalize and regularize the freelance riders at the actor’s last-mile solution providor Dingdong.
Dingdong’s professionalization program aims to improve the livelihoods of pandemic frontliners by qualifying high-performing freelance partner riders into full-time, regularized fleet riders.
"Helping professionalize the delivery service industry has always been the priority ever since we started Dingdong back in August 2020. We looked into the challenges and collaborated closely with our riders for us to come up with a solution and address their situation,” shares Dingdong President and CEO, and YPF Chairman Dong Dantes.
The professionalization program will allow riders to participate in government contributions and have essential access to a HMO, life insurance, and accident insurance. The entire program aims to professionalize the growing industry and to give riders a chance to grow and develop their careers.
The transition process will be performance-based and riders will also undergo basic lessons on road safety, package handling, first aid, tech literacy, and even personal financial management.
