Chickenjoy in the Pacific Northwest: Jollibee Opening First Branch in Oregon, USA
Jollibee’s on a roll and it doesn’t look like it’s stopping anytime soon. After announcements of upcoming new stores in Manhattan in New York and Dallas, Texas, the ‘Bee is expanding in the West Coast and will open its first branch in the state of Oregon in the Pacific Northwest. Clearly Chickenjoy, spaghetti, and everything else on the menu isn’t just for Filipino palates.
A report on the Willamette Week said Jollibee Foods Corp.’s (JFC) flagship brand will open in the city of Hillsboro based on a site plan for the Tanasbourne Village, a shopping center with big box stores, cafes and restaurants.
There is no opening date yet for the latest Jollibee in the U.S., but Jollibee is already included in directory of shops and stores for Tanasbourne Village. The directory lists stores that are already operating like Five Guys, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Great Harvest Bread, and Trader Joe’s, as well as those that are expected to open soon, like Bo Bo Tea House, Zen Teriyaki, Two Hands Corn Dogs, and Crumbl Cookies.
Currently, there’s already at least one Jollibee in this region of the US: in the town of Tukwila, Washington state
At this point, it’s hard to keep track of exactly how many Jollibee stores there are in the world, but JFC says it already has about 70 stores in North America, and over 1,300 globally.
In January, the company announced it was opening a fourth store in New York, in Manhattan’s Grand Central Station. It opened its first store in Vancouver, Canada in March and has announced it will soon open its first location in Australia.
