Looking to Augment Your Income? Bánh Mì Kitchen is Open for Franchising

If you’ve been thinking about franchising a restaurant but don’t know how or where to start, you’re in luck. Bánh Mì Kitchen (BMKN)—known for its traditional Vietnamese and international  bánh mì flavors such as the Wagyu Tapa bánh mì and Samgyupsal Kimchi bánh mì—is opening its doors to franchisees and potential business owners.

Entrepreneurs who are looking for a viable investment option to help them bounce back from the current climate—and sustain their income—may want to put their money in BMKN. The company has remained resilient even during these challenging times, offering products through their website and through third-party food delivery apps.

Additionally, BMKN’s portfolio—which offers fresh and nutritious meals—has expanded to fit the needs of their always on-the-go customers. Case in point: The brand rolled out the Damn Strong! Viet coffee in easy, ready-to-drink bottles.

Never set up a food stall before? Not a problem. BMKN offers end-to-end services—from classroom-type seminars to kitchen training.

Operationalizing a business can be tricky, but the team can kickstart your business by helping out in registration, filing local permits, and accounting. Best of all, they have accredited architects and contractors to help you design and build your store.

Once the business is up and running, franchisees can choose to share their monthly financials, and the team can guide them on areas they can improve on. BMKN also helps in targeted digital advertising and promotions, so new owners are sure that their business is marketed to the right people.

At the heart of this is the Bánh Mì Kitchen team’s willingness to innovate and collaborate with their partner franchisees. Product innovations such as the Spicy Lechon Belly bánh mì (exclusive to its Cebu branches for now), the Cheesy Kani Bake bánh mì, and the ready-to-drink Damn Strong! coffee variants have been bestsellers.

“Since we are a relatively new brand in the market, we are looking for applicants who are willing to grow with us,” says Mon Santos, President of Bánh Mì Kitchen. “We are also looking for people who are dedicated, driven, and passionate about making good food, and ensuring that every Bánh Mì customer is satisfied.”

Unlike other food stalls, franchising the Bánh Mì Kitchen concept is flexible, as owners don’t need to cook on-site, meaning that there’s no need for an exhaust or a firewall.

Depending on the size of the space, it would take roughly P1 million to P1.5 million to franchise a store. Bánh Mì Kitchen has 35 branches in total, 32 of which are franchised.
