Another Grandson of Lucio Tan's Is Set to Take Over Eton Properties Philippines Inc.
Just a little over a week after the appointment of his brother, Lucio III, it has been announced that another one of Lucio Tan's grandsons, Kyle C. Tan, is set to become president and CEO of the Tans' property arm Eton Properties Philippines Inc. (EPPI).
The younger Tan had been the executive director of Eton. He replaces Lucio Tan's son-in-law Ramon San Pascual, who had been president and CEO of Eton since 2019.
With it, the company announced its plans to venture into the Central Visayas region. This project at Lapu-Lapu City in Mactan, Cebu, which will be a 35-hectare mixed-use integrated township, is said to rise soon, as part of Eton's new direction for sustained growth in the next decade. The said property will have a 600-meter beachfront and internal lagoon, among its other highlights.
“We will make the best use of the site’s natural characteristics by preserving the natural environment while undertaking the multi-brand positioning for the future growth markets through various business segments," Tan said in a statement on the ETON website. "This project will be envisioned as the next business and leisure destination in one secured and exclusive community in Cebu."

Another project, Eton City in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, is also expected to rise. The 641-hectare business district hopes to address the office demand in the information technology-business process management industry. This township will feature four residential villages, as well.
“To add more office spaces is part of our pipeline to build momentum in achieving a multi-billion income target in the next five to 10 years. There are so many opportunities in Eton City, and we are willing to take our strategies to adapt to the global standards by incorporating digital technology, world-class designs, and connectivity into its communities,” Tan added.
Kyle Tan graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Southern California, finishing with a business degree in Computer Engineering and Computer Science. He worked as a software engineer at Microsoft before moving back to the Philippines. Tan would obtain a master's degree from the same university.
He and his brother are part of the next-gen Tan takeover. The other Tan grandson, Lucio Tan III, was appointed as president of Philippine Airlines’ parent firm, the conglomerate LT group just a few days ago. Their grandfather, Lucio C. Tan, would remain chairman and CEO.
