8 PH Companies Make it to Forbes List of World's Best Employers 2026

San Miguel Corporation, which started out as a brewery in 1890, is now a diversified conglomerate with business ventures in food and drink, finance, infrastructure, oil and energy, transportation, and real estate. And in Forbes' list of the world's best employers, the multinational company, with CEO Ramon S. Ang and headquartered in Mandaluyong, holds the top spot in the Philippines, ranking at no. 16 globally.

Forbes' list came out on September 29, 2026, at 10 a.m., which is Tuesday evening for us. It's the seventh global ranking to date, with a survey done through a partnership with Statista in an effort to "identify those [companies] that support their employees by offering meaningful work, top-tier compensation, training in new technologies and more."

Their methods involved an online, anonymous survey of more than 300,000 employees in more than 50 countries. Participants rated how likely they were to recommend their employer to family and friends, and evaluated the company on such criteria as salary, career advancement opportunities, work-life balance, and company reputation. Respondents could also evaluate former employers (within the past two years). Aside from the survey responses, data from the previous three years were also taken into consideration, with weight given to current evaluations. Corporations were eligible if they employed more than 1,000 people and operated globally.

The result is a list of 900 companies, headquartered in 52 countries, making up the World’s Best Employers 2026. Microsoft (United States) is in first place, while Fast Retailing (Japan) is in 900th place.

Following Microsoft in the top 10 are: Delta Air Lines, Shopify, Costco Wholesale, NVIDIA, Adobe, Apple, Sony Group, Alphabet, and Lego Group.
