SM Malls Team Up with LGUs for Mass Vaccination Drives

The private sector lends a helping hand.

SM Supermalls has joined forced with local government units to act as the venue for nationwide COVID-19 vaccination drives. So far, SM malls in Cavite, Bulacan, Zambales, and more have participated in the effort to vaccinate frontliners, seniors, and vulnerable persons.

“As part of our continuing efforts in preventing the further spread of COVID-19, SM malls all over the country can provide convenient, safe and accessible venues for the community to get vaccinated,” said SM Supermalls president Steven Tan.In SM City Rosario in Cavite, the mall’s cinema hallway was transformed into a vaccination area that hosted hundreds of newly vaccinated frontliners, senior citizens, and indigents within the first few days of opening on March 29. Over 12,000 more are expected to get their vaccines at the venue.

Meanwhile, in Zambales, SM City Olongapo Central hosted a two-day vaccination program on March 30 and 31 where frontliners in the province were able to get vaccinated.


In SM Center Pulilan, Bulacan, 200 individuals have already been vaccinated by the Municipality of Pulilan, with 700 more scheduled to be vaccinated in the coming days.
