Summit Media Inc., the country’s leading lifestyle and digital media group, is entering a new era with the recent appointments of key management personnel effective January 1, 2026.
Founding president and CEO Lisa Gokongwei-Cheng is now the company’s chairperson, tasked to lead the board of directors in shaping Summit media’s long-term vision and governance.
Meanwhile, Howard Dy Go, who was company COO, steps up as Summit Media’s new president and CEO. Go will lead the company’s strategic direction and will continue to collaborate closely with the department heads to help shape Summit’s vision, drive operational excellence, and foster a culture built on collaboration and accountability.
One of the Philippines’ most influential media companies, Summit Media is known today for publishing successful lifestyle and entertainment titles that reach millions of readers and audiences daily. These include homegrown brands like Preview, Pep.ph, Smart Parenting, Spin, and Spot.ph, as well as the local franchises of top international brands Cosmopolitan and Esquire. Summit Media also runs an OOH (out of home) advertising unit that helps brands reach audiences in public spaces outside of traditional media channels, as well as a Books division that publishes bestselling titles in print.
"I am very excited about the direction that Howard and his team will take the company, specifically their aggressive expansion of the group's outside-of-home footprint and their innovative immersive solutions,” Gokongwei says. “At the same time, we are looking forward to increasing the offerings of digital media not only across more channels but also more formats to expand audience reach.”
“As I step into the role Lisa vacates, I am excited to rise to the challenge and I hope to lead as strategically as she does," Go says. "It is my desire to continue expanding the business and to successfully execute the necessary pivots along the way. I also look forward to forging new partnerships that will strengthen and scale each of Summit Media’s business pillars in the years ahead.
“I am fortunate to work with such a strong team as we move forward to achieve these goals,” he adds.
