Trolling Bill Gates Is Elon Musk's New Hobby

If you ever needed a reminder that the world’s richest men are just like us, look no further than Twitter. Clearly, Elon Musk is well-versed in the art of trolling.
The beef between Bill Gates and Elon Musk reached a new peak over the weekend when a series of texts were leaked to the public. In the texts, which were confirmed to be true by Musk, Gates tapped Musk to invest in a philanthropic project, which Musk shadily rejected.
His reason was simple: Bill Gates was shorting Tesla, which Musk defends is an eco-friendly company.
"Sorry, but I cannot take your philanthropy on climate change seriously when you have a massive short position against Tesla, the company doing the most to solve climate change,” texted Musk.
Just a few hours after the leak, Musk blatantly mocked Bill Gates’ figure with the not-so-flattering caption, “In case you need to lose a boner fast.”
There’s no love lost between these two.
Musk and Gates have disagreed on a number of issues over the years, but this might be the first time Musk has gone so far as to troll the founder of Microsoft.
Gates is known for his philanthropic work—and for staying out of the billionaire space race. He previously criticized the billionaires engaging in space tourism—namely Musk and Jeff Bezos—by saying that there are enough issues on this planet we need to fix.
"Space? We have a lot to do here on Earth,” said Gates.
In a previous series of tweets, Musk went so far as to describe Gates as an “underwhelming” person after Gates opted to buy a Porsche instead of a Tesla.
After the leaked messages and troll tweets, the founder of Tesla and SpaceX had only one thing to say:
At least, until the next billionaire Twitter feud.
