Tech startups aren’t the only ones with opportunities in the Web 3.0 space. Filipino artists have a chance to venture into the future of the internet with Draper Startup House Manila’s first-ever Artist Collective program. Dedicated to supporting art communities like Likha NFT, Titik Poetry, Crypto Art Philippines, and FilipinasNFT, Draper Startup House Manila is hosting a residency and incubation program for its first lineup of artists: Jopet Arias, Anton Cabrera, Jarrett Pinto, Jakestudyo, Karren Barcita, Francis Lim, and Steve Manzano.

To celebrate the Artist Collective, Draper Startup House is holding its open house launch today, September 1, at 5 p.m. at 5048 Burgos, Poblacion, Makati City.

Bringing together the metro’s art and tech communities, the Artist Collective will also be celebrated alongside Meta Manila, a collaboration that reimagines Manila for the Web 3.0 space. The Filipino artists in the collective will get a chance to access Draper Startup House’s mentorship opportunities, global network, and a physical space for them to sell their work.

The Artist Collective includes a residency at Draper Startup House Manila, where artists can work and have permanent exhibition spaces. The second phase of the program consists of the launch of an NFT collection, which will help artists earn royalties through the likes of Likha NFT’s physical art authentication capabilities. It’s being positioned as a game changer for artists, widening their opportunities for sustainability and monetization. The third and final phase of the program is an Artist Incubation program where artists can receive support and mentorship from Web 3.0 builders and leaders. Artists will have the opportunity to upskill, reskill, and deep dive into Web 3.0.

“This is only Draper Startup House Manila’s first step in building the Web 3.0 hub of Manila,” said Cristian Munoz, CEO of Draper Startup House Manila. “It also aims to promote entrepreneurial tourism both offline and online in the metaverse by tokenizing our hotel and building a venture studio that will enable Web 3.0 startups as part of Draper Startup House’s global mission of enabling one million entrepreneurs.”
